WORLD FAIRS 3. SEATTLE 1962 & NEW YORK 1964-65

Seattle 1962 and New York 1964-65 World's Fair. 41 pages.

The Seattle World's Fair of 1962 was built for permanence, departing from the historical method of building only for a fair. The 600-foot Space Needle with its revolving restaurant, the monorail and the United States Science Pavilion are the familar symbols of the Seattle Fair.

The 1964-65 New York World's Fair was the largest international exposition in history. In keeping with the fair's theme PEACE THROUGH UNDERSTANDING, the accent was on the international section which included 80 nations in 37 pavilions.
